One of two of my favourite photos of the famous Ponte Vecchio (the other one is next). A challenge for me is how do you photograph something that's been photographed millions of times before and make it your own? One thing I do is create the picture when it is hard to do so, such as after the sun goes down. Obviously this is more difficult than shooting in daylight, but it's always paid off for me as you can see in the next few photographs of Florence.
A footnote to photographers: I do not lug around huge tripods, but I love shooting at night! How? Well for example, the photograph above was taken with my camera on a self timer resting on the stone guard rail by the river walkway. I didn't have my small tabletop tripod handy, so to get the proper angle, I just wedge things under camera like newspapers and lens caps. Lens: 85mm
